User Reviews
- I have been on Wegovy for about 12 weeks now and have lost around 12lbs, currently on 1.7 dose. I would also like to share that before Wegovy, I was on Ozempic for about 5 months, with a 2 month break in between switching, and I have lost a total of 56lbs. Here are my observations: the higher the dose, the more full you will feel and you will eat less. The weight loss takes time, and WORK. I either eat low carb (50 ish carbs a day) or low calorie (1500 ish calories) a day, most of the time. I also workout, 5 days a week….and I never miss my workouts. I do 25 min of incline walking, squats, weight, etc. The workouts get easier as I lose weight, and I see bigger changes in my body overall by combining exercise, diet, and Wegovy. I am trying my best to make this a lifestyle change, so I don’t gain all the weight back when I go off medication, which I feel like will inevitably happen. Previous weight: 295, current weight: 239, goal weight: 200 (I’m 6’2” for reference).
- I started at the end of April and am on 1.7 and am down a total of 42 lbs. Starting weight 237, CW 195, Goal: 155lbs. I have all the side effects but being overweight bothered me more than the side effects. I have tailored my diet to curb the side effects 1 day before and 2 days after my injection day. I've lost steadily but once I started 1.7, I was dropping weight without effort. You cannot live the same lifestyle you did before the medication. Biggest issue I've noticed is people aren't using this as a tool and are treating it like it's a miracle drug and they don't have to make changes. Which is probably why they aren't losing steadily. It's the same reason people gain the weight back when they stop the medication. To reduce side effects I do a liquid diet the day before and 2 days after injection. I drink 3 premier protein shakes (if I can, I get full fast) or low carb yogurts. Other things I'll have if I'm hungrier are sugar free jello, bone broth, liquid soups such as tomato soup. I try to give my stomach a break and prevent food from sitting in my stomach too long. Sulfur burps are the worst and was because food was sitting in my stomach way too long. No more high saturated fatty foods, no high carb foods, no more drinking alcohol, no more sugary foods. They WILL make you sick.
- I was talking to my pharmacist today in two weeks I’ll be starting my 2.4 dosage and we were talking about the shortage. She was telling me that the prescriptions that she’s been filling that nobody got past the .05 because people kept saying that it wasn’t working and I know exactly what the problem is. These people are expecting miracles you know what is a slow process and if you’re not willing to put in the work. I told the pharmacist that there are so many people out here that would be more than happy to take that low dosage to start off because there’s a lot of people out there that can’t even get it and there’s people out here complaining because it’s not working. You got to trust the process.
