Summary
Sickbay is an FDA-cleared clinical platform by Medical Informatics Corp. that provides hospitals with a vendor-neutral, integrated patient monitoring solution, consolidating real-time patient data to enhance care delivery.
Description
Sickbay is a comprehensive clinical platform developed by Medical Informatics Corp. It aggregates and transforms disparate patient monitoring data into actionable insights, enabling clinicians to monitor patients remotely and in real-time. The platform integrates with various bedside devices and electronic medical records, offering a unified view of patient information. Sickbay's capabilities include virtual care, analytics, and telemetry solutions, all designed to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Notably, it has received FDA 510(k) clearance, classifying it as a Class II medical device for clinical use. The platform has been recognized for its vendor-agnostic approach, allowing integration with multiple device vendors without hardware replacement, and for facilitating the deployment of virtual care and AI across various inpatient settings. Additionally, Sickbay has been integrated with Fifth Eye's AHI System, enhancing its predictive analytics capabilities by detecting hemodynamic instability ahead of vital signs. This integration provides clinicians with early warnings, potentially preventing patient deterioration. Sickbay's scalability and flexibility have been demonstrated in various healthcare settings, including during the COVID-19 pandemic, where it supported the expansion of virtual ICUs and remote monitoring workflows. The platform's ability to unify patient data and provide real-time analytics has been instrumental in improving care delivery and operational efficiencies in hospitals and health systems.

User Reviews
- Logging out of it. The logout button works every time.
- I use Therap as a business admin. This is the worst, most user unfriendly software I've ever had the displeasure of using.
- The one problem that Therap solves is compliance. They are compliant with regulations in every state they operate in. It would be more work to maintain compliance without them.
