User Reviews
- I didn't have much weight to lose (About 12lbs) and I think that working with the app allowed me to accomplish that within three months. Use the app, use it properly - don't lie to it! - and persist. Results will come.
- It's user-friendly and the interface is nice so anyone can use it. It's you can add what you eat and track what you're eating and the calories that you're taking in for the day.
- I signed on for help with a pre-diabetes diagnosis. At first, I enjoyed the accountability. After a few months, it became old with the food journaling. The others in my group rarely posted, and the coach posted stuff, I'm sure from copy and paste.
- Overall it's a good app, nice and feasible work plan to reach your body goal.
- The app is easy to navigate. I downloaded this and paid for an 8 month subscription that was timed based on the weight loss goal I entered. I downloaded this to see if this would be a helpful tool to offer employees at my hospital.
- I was not expecting the quality and innovation that Noom brings to its purposes. It’s different from regular apps for getting in shape, nutrition and all of that, it seems that Noom is a human being working on strategies and not just an app.
- The overall experience with Noom was good. I found it to be a great resource.
- It helps me to eat right and help me with the energy that I need to run my business.
- App is easy to use and track food and caloric intake. It works, slow and steady wins the race.
- I have struggled with my body image and health since I was very young, including having a gym membership at only 13. I ate only grapefruit and lettuce and thought I was very healthy and fit until I almost shut down my metabolism/thyroid. At 15, I was on medication for hypothyroidism. I struggled with eating and diets throughout my life. I became diabetic (type 2) and disliked my body. I tried Noom, and I really did wake up, put my pants on, and notice a significant fit that surprised me. How was this happening? Noom worked as long as I put the daily footwork in to change my habits and work on my goals.
- The color orange in the UI? That's the only redeeming quality I can see.
- This app is great for accountability. You're assigned a goal coach that checks in with you. You also have daily tasks and fun little quizzes to complete that give you insight into your goals.
- Meal logging is challenging due to the system they have in place (Red=poor choice, Yellow, and Green=good choice). This works well if you eat pre-packaged foods that fall into one of the categories. Otherwise, if you log your ingredients separately, you're more likely to end up with a bunch of Red items on your food log. I wound up cancelling due to outside circumstances, and I appreciated that the cancelleation process was straight-forward and quick (they don't make you jump through hoops to quit).
