Summary
MRI Planner is an AI-driven software by Spectronic Medical that enables MRI-only radiotherapy planning by generating synthetic CT images from standard MRI scans, enhancing treatment precision and patient comfort.
Description
MRI Planner is a CE-marked and FDA 510(k)-cleared software designed to generate synthetic CT images from standard MRI scans, facilitating MRI-only radiotherapy planning. It utilizes deep learning algorithms to produce synthetic CTs for brain, head-neck, and pelvic regions and includes automated organ-at-risk (OAR) delineations for prostate cases. The software operates using a single standard MRI sequence and supports the inclusion of fiducial marker data in synthetic CT outputs for positioning workflows. It is compatible with established clinical systems and uses standardized DICOM files for image input and output. MRI Planner is intended for use by trained radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and physicists to assist in radiation attenuation estimation and localization/definition of healthy anatomical structures for radiotherapy treatment planning in adult patients with primary and metastatic cancers in brain, head-neck, and pelvic regions. The software has been evaluated in multiple scientific clinical studies and is designed for clinics seeking to implement MRI-only radiotherapy planning using standardized and approved tools.

User Reviews
- I had to have an MRI done at Johns Hopkins in Maryland back in 2017. They literally have a metal detector built into the surround for the door that you have to walk through to get to the MRI bed.
