Carequality is a U.S.-focused, consensus-built interoperability framework and trust network that enables standardized, nationwide health information exchange among disparate health IT systems and networks.
Carequality provides a common set of legal, technical, and policy rules (the Carequality Interoperability Framework and agreements) that allow implementers — EHR vendors, HIEs, health networks, and other health IT services — to connect and exchange clinical data at scale across networks without point-to-point contracts. It is maintained by a non-profit collaborative and published resources include framework policies, implementation guides, and an adopter trust agreement.
