Description
Autoplaque is an artificial intelligence (AI) software developed by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to analyze coronary artery plaques from CT angiography images. It provides automated, AI-powered quantitative analysis of atherosclerotic plaque, assisting physicians in risk prediction and treatment guidance. The software has been clinically validated and is backed by peer-reviewed research. Cedars-Sinai has licensed Autoplaque to APQ Health Inc., a health-tech startup founded by the software's developers, to transform this innovation into physician-ready tools that support clinical decision-making. Additionally, HeartFlow, Inc. has entered into a licensing agreement with Cedars-Sinai to incorporate Autoplaque technology into its HeartFlow Analysis, aiming to enhance plaque assessment in coronary artery disease diagnosis and treatment. Cedars-Sinai is an equity stakeholder in APQ Health.

User Reviews
- I am the conservator of a former Cedars Sinai patient and I am leaving a one-star review/rating for the following reason: It is important to note that the patient has severe autism and takes seizure and behavior medication. In one of the patient's MRI appointments, the ******* ***************************** was 45 minutes late. The patient had another appointment in a different hospital area, and the Doctor knew this. The patient needed to be sedated so he was fasting and was not on his usual medications. As a consequence, the patient was antsy. When the Doctor finally arrived, tensions were already high as I was trying to keep the patient calm and I was trying to understand from the staff where the Doctor was for an appointment she was scheduled to be at. When she finally arrived, the Doctor was acting unprofessionally by ******* through the appointment. She was ******* because I believe that she knew that her lateness may cause an overlap with another appointment that the patient had that same morning (15 minutes later.) Two weeks later, without warning, I received a letter from the Doctor saying that the hospital would no longer treat the patient. Not even a quick phone call or email was communicated as a courtesy. By the time the letter came, the high-risk patient was given only two weeks to find another physician. The letter also noted that no prescription refills would be made for the patient. Regardless of how the Doctor feels about me, I think it's extremely unprofessional to punish a non-verbal conservatee who has severe health issues. I wouldn't recommend this Doctor to anyone who is a parent/guardian/conservator who expects to have the physician attend appointments on time and not have their physician -- in my opinion -- act unprofessionally with them. In my opinion, the Hospital has an issue with communication as well as an issue with coordinating appointments.
- I am quitting Cedars Sinai (where I have been a patient since 1980). I am fed up with the incompetent, rude and snotty support staff at Playa Vista Primary Care with their 3 inch nails and 6 inch hoop earring. Admittedly, after 3 days of trying to get a prescription refilled, and being told repeatedly by 5 different women that it wasn't in my chart notes, I was frustrated and angry. I've learned to control it when speaking with employees on power trips, but it slipped through when I was trying yet again to get this issue resolved and was told "don't speak to me in that tone of voice." Turns out the doctor prescribed the brand name drug and the pharmacy filled the generic. These are very common, frequently prescribed drugs. When I asked the young woman why no one checked with medical staff her response was "that's not my job." I don't have any complaints about Dr. Blain or her medical team, but any communication I have with her goes through -- and is waylaid by -- the support staff. So, I quit.
- Type of care is gone. They had me down with the wrong surgery, nurse horrible. If you have cancer you see a nurse Practioner. Not the way to run a Medical Center. The parking for the building is horrible you have to go up stairs and you only have 15 mins to get out of the parking place who thought of that! No numbers to call no one around no security and take cash for parking. The fact that you have to walk all around the bldg is hard going up and down stairs. This is not a route for people that have cancer. Poor planning for sure. Care is horrible if you have scans outside the Mark Taper then they will never get them. Reports lost send scans yourself and have to pay for them. Not a way to run this place. Never going back I have found 5 stars care somewhere else.
- I can't say enough good things about my experience with Dr. Hurst. During our first visit, he explained my diagnosis and treatment protocol.
